New Computer
[12:00 am]
A special day for me.
1. Two years ago I came to Canada.
2. I upgraded my computer.
I was a bit tired with my Pentium Celeron 333Mhz (which I still like by all means!).
Here is my new baby that I'll get hopefully on Tuesday:
· Motherboard: ASUS A7V
· Processor: AMD 1.1G
· Memory: 256 PC133
· Hard Drive: Maxtor 20G 7200 rpm
· Case: ATX 300W
· CD-ROM: 52x Creative
· Sound Card: SB PCI 128
· Video Card: ASUS V7100mx 32mb TV
I'll make one page with the description and photos of my hardware and of my working place (at home) very soon.

Illustrator Easter Egg
[12:00 am]
Very nice. This program is more useful then I thought.
Alt click the little block to the right of the zoom amount on the lower left corner and you'll get some cool options. Have you ever asked yourself how many times you had clicked the mouse since opening Illustrator? Or, do you know what the current phase of the moon is?

[12:00 am]
Big news! The domain sashaDesign.com finally points to this web page. No redirecting and no dynamic IP numbers any more!

Math, arggggh!
[12:00 am]
Phong is back!
Studying math right now. Mid-term Exam on Thursday! I'm in panic! Would you like to share the pain with me? Here is one . . .
An amoeba propagates by simple division; each split takes three minutes to complete. When such an amoeba is put into a glass container with a nutrient fluid, the container is full of amoebas in one hour. How long would it take for the container to be filled if we start with not one amoeba, but two?
See you later.

Security Issues
[12:00 am]
I'm running IIS server on my WinNT box. I use it for my testings and for my tiny web site. Today I checked my log files and found a very strange line:
21:39:44 195.190.97.29 GET /.html/............./autoexec.bat 404
I wonder what was the guy trying to do? He didn't request any other page.

Female Web Designers
[12:00 am]
Women are better web designers then men. (Don't spread it! Let's leave it here between you and me). Why am I telling this to you?
1. I stumbled across Loobylu's site today and am really impressed with her work.
2. Sofia made her first page with just a bit of my help. Her first page looks much better then mine :-)

Guestbook
[12:00 am]
I fixed my guestbook whee-heew. I didn't know how to disable HTML code in it! Now I know :-) Server.HTMLEncode is the buzzword for today.

New Books
[12:00 am]
I bought two new books!
Steal this computer book 2 immediately drew my attention in the bookstore :-) I don't want to be a hacker, but there are many interesting informations in it. Here are some useful URLs I picked up for you. Be careful :-)!
Attrition.org
Cult of the Dead Cow
Hack Canada
Hacker News
Hackers.com
Insecure.org
The second book is Foundation Flash 5. The first few chapters are kind of basic and I think I know them already :-) but the rest is good for me. I'm more interested in actionscripting right now.

Ginger
[12:00 am]
We live in a crazy but also very interesting and exciting time!!! I read this article today and I still think about 'IT', . . . about 'Ginger'. What the hell is that? Is it just a sophisticated toilet or something :-). Let's wait until 2002 . . .
Vladdy asked me for pixel fonts. I zipped them here. That's all I've got so far. Feel free to download them.

Welcome
[12:00 am]
You won't believe me, but here in Canada it is almost impossible to find a building with the 13th floor. Just 12th and 14th. Today is January 13th and I launch my new web site. It just happened so :-). I hope everybody likes it. It is kind of simple and it is the way I like :-) Guess where it is hosted? Yes, on my computer! I prefer to do all the experiments here then to call the "XYZ hosting company's" customer support. So if you encounter DNS problems, that means Sasha is sleeping and his computer is shut down :-) But, I'll try to leave it on all the time. Please, don't try to hack me! Why not? Simply because I'm a nice guy :-)
