My company moved to new offices
[12:00 am]
The company that I am working for has moved to another place. I kind of like the new offices and my new desk but don't like the area that we are in. There are only junk food restaurants around the building such as McDonald's, Tacho Bell, Burger King . . . Grrhh. Time to bring my own food to work.
I think, all my fellow coworkers are happy to see the long weekend ahead to rest a bit after the move. Here is a pic that we have taken during the move ;-)

New IE6 drawing protests
[12:00 am]
This guy is having too much fun with Photoshop. Thanks anyway.
Internet Explorer 6 browser, made available for free download yesterday, is drawing protests because it doesn't support rival products commonly used on Web sites, most notably QuickTime.

IE6 released
[12:00 am]
IE6 released!
The first thing I've noticed is a slightly different icon and the privacy report icon that appears in the status bar.
Don't like IE? How about Lynx? Weird browser, isn't it.

We are finally tableless!
[12:00 am]
Look ma!
I am mister tableless!
Actually don't look at me if you're using an ancient browser like NN4 (to hell with them), otherwise you'll see the power of an 'ahem' declaration ;-)
Oh man, I spent whole weekend doing this and feel pretty tired but also satisfied now. I hope there are no major bugs in my CSS, but if you encounter any please report them to me. I would be especially interested in how this thing works on MAC platform using standard compliant browsers.

Balkan Pics
[12:00 am]
Once upon a time there was a country called SFR Yugoslavia. You cannot find it on the recent maps anymore but it still exists in one way or another. If you go now to the region where Yugoslavia used to be, you'll find lots of new countries. My brother visited some of them two months ago and made some interesting photos.

The picture of Internet; Why XHTML
[12:00 am]
If somebody asked you to draw a picture of internet how would you do that? Pretty tough task, isn't it? Thank God we have malfunction.org to do that for us. I am sure the little frog will show up there one day :-)
Why XHTML?
Many web designers and developers ask that question. What is the difference between HTML 4.01 and XHMTL and what is XHTML good for?
Think about XHTML as XML-ized HTML or some kind of the bridge between those two. You can write your pages using XHTML and send them to browsers as HTML, but you can also integrate them into XML based document.
· more accurate markup (by eliminating missing end tags)
· an easy upgrade path to XML-based browsers
· easier integration with XML-based document management systems
The best part of it. If you already have a valid HTML 4.01 it really takes just a few steps to go for XHTML.

Drunks
[12:00 am]
It is Sunday 10 AM and people in the apartment below mine are drunk and loud. I think they made it through the night.
Normal drinkers go to bed when the morning comes, right?
[Of course I don't mean you Svarog, you are on the other side. Otherwise I would have this every day I guess.]
I am 36% gay!
That's less gay than average for someone of my gender and orientation. The typical straight guy is supposedly 39% gay!

Tongue twisters
[12:00 am]
When you write copy you have the right to copyright the copy you write. You can write good and copyright but copyright doesn't mean copy good - it might not be right good copy, right?
They claim to be the world's largest collection of tongue twisters! I spent an hour going through all this stuff. I have no idea why they list "World Wide Web" as a tongue twister. Kids learn that faster then "Mama" nowadays.

Photoshop Tennis; Human Clock
[12:00 am]
I still cannot figure out who is supposed to win in a game of Photoshop Tennis. I understand all the rules except of the one. Who is the winner at the end? Never mind make sure to check today's live game!
Rustboy v. Zeldman.
What is the time? humanclock.com is exactly what the name says. For almost all of the 1440 minutes in a day you get a different picture. Some people have ideas, don't they?

New motherboard
[12:00 am]
I am on the road again and apologize for the down time!
Do you know what happens when you play too much with BIOS settings?
You know, but I didn't :-)
I hope the new motherboard will improve my system stability. I had too many crashes lately. It was obviously a hardware problem because I tryed several operating systems with the same result. If it is not the motherboard that caused the problem, then I will kill myself.

Twenty years of IBM personal computer
[12:00 am]
IBM marking 20th anniversary of the personal computer.
Twenty years ago, the IBM personal computer was introduced inciting huge changes in the ways I live.
- I have more friends online than in "real life".
- If I go to the washroom during the night I always check my email as well.
- My Christmas wish list includes more RAM, faster PCU, and a bigger HD.
- When someone tells me a joke, I struggle not to say "LOL" out loud.
- I have multiple online pseudonyms.
- I check the current weather conditions online rather than just walking outside.
- etc . . .
For your and my convenience I just completed archive page where you can access and search previous entries in an easy way. As usual I had fun doing this. Please report any bugs.

Pornographic websites
[12:00 am]
Pornography has always been a profitable business. Dispite the fact that everything is kind of slow right now, online adult industry is doing just fine. Internet monitoring company NetValue provides us with some interesting insights into the European online user behaviour. Do not underestimate the online porn industry, we can only learn something from them. My favorite!

Apache, PHP and MySQL on my PC
[12:00 am]
Working with Apache, PHP and MySql makes me feel like a real geek ;-)
I am sorry for having neglected my old computer. Never again. Promised.
Thanks to my friend Davor, I am entering the exciting new world of home networking :-). The old little box, where I am posting this from, is just getting an Apache server with PHP and MySql data base. Weeeee.

GRRRRR
[12:00 am]
I went to bed at 8:00 AM today, spent whole night installing Win2000. It crashed badly last night after I had installed some "drivers". If you have ever seen that ugly blue screen with bunch of errors when starting up Windows then you know what I am talking about.

Does it matter?
[12:00 am]
I have no idea how to make your penis grow and how they happen to come here. Do you?
Men definitely have problems with it. Eternal question, does size really matter? I have more then 100 default.ida requests per day. Crazy. More about this vulnerability on eeye.com web site. The computers where the requests are coming from are usually hacked already, which tells me that they are nothing but poor victims set up for further attacks.

IE6 is coming
[12:00 am]
In an e-mail to beta testers, Microsoft today announced the availability of what is expected to be the final build for the Internet Explorer 6 release. IE6 will feature few drastic changes over IE5.5, such as integrated media playback, automatic picture resizing, increased privacy with the adoption of P3P, extended standards support, additional DOM and CSS functionality and support of SMIL 2.0. Smart Tags, however, will not be included in the release.
Microsoft has also completed the second service pack for IE5.5 which includes improved support for DHTML and CSS.

Mozilla 0.9.3
[12:00 am]
I was doing some stuff on my server and was playing around with the web cam so if you saw something like "The page cannot be displayed" I really apologize for that.
I've just installed Mozilla 0.9.3 latest release and you know what, this browser is better then ever.

Standards-compliant is a good thing
[12:00 am]
How to explain your boss, your client or your fellow worker the value of building web pages that are "standards compliant". youngpup.net tells us how to do that. Great reading and great web site.
Don't be hard on me here, I'll abandon tables layout whenever I get some time. OK?

Human for Sale; Last 30 Referrals; Automatic Love Fanatic
[12:00 am]
How much dollars am I worth? Exactly: $1,678,110.00 according to humanforsale.com. There are some tough questions which you should answer honestly. I think the test results depend on how you answer the tough ones ;-)
Another month is gone. Summer is moving fast (which is bad) and my final exam for Math is getting closer and closer (which is worse). When it comes to studying Math I always find something else to do and here is what I did yesterday. Last 30 refferers. I got the idea by visiting lgf and find the thingy really neat. I had some problems to figure out how to do tha,t but you know my pigheadedness ;-)
Automatic Love Fanatic is a sweet desktop wallpaper created by my friend Kasko. I like it. You see what an image can turn into when you are "inspired by one song called Automatic and by grasshopper's jumping in backyard".
