This is the birthday present we got for Sofia. It is a cute little cockatiel. On the picture is my niece feeding it. We still have no name for it. Apache, maybe?

Jakob Nielsen's Top Ten Web-Design Mistakes of 2002.
It is worth reading, I guess. I don't agree with #5. #4 is disputable.
mySQL.com redesign.
The new design looks fine, but I am not sure why this annoying horizontal scrollbar?!

2002, A Year to Forget, an interesting article at Salon.comEnron, WorldCom, United; the war between Hollywood and Silicon Valley; a droopy stock market; and more, more, more spam. 2002 was not a whole lot of fun in the world of business and technology.
I personally have changed three jobs in this year (is it positive?) and got much more freelance work then any year before. So, this year wasn't that bad really.

I got rid of an unvisible layer created for the users who insist on using an old browser. I think it is not needed anymore. The layer contained following:Using an outdated browser? This site will look much better in a browser that supports web standards, but it is accessible to any browser or Internet device

Short after the release of two new toys, as Koja noted yesterday, Google introduces Froogle. Their innovation just amazes me.
Froogle is a new service from Google that makes it easy to find information about products for sale online. By focusing entirely on product search, Froogle applies the power of Google's search technology to a very specific task: locating stores that sell the item you want to find and pointing you directly to the place where you can make a purchase.
Segway. When are we gonna get one of those?

My final exam is over. It is a common practice at our university to write our code on paper. Not that I look for excuses, but I am not used to it. In my opinion, a programming examination needs to be done on a computer. But then again, . . . who am I to complain?

Domain name sashaDesign.com renewed today. I use register.com and I have never had complains about them, except of the price maybe. However, as it looks like, there are some good and cheap domain registrars out there. First of all, I don't understand the deal. Why are are they cheaper? An example is GoDaddy. I heard, they provide a very reliable and cheap service. I am not a person who likes changes. Even to switch from ASP to PHP took me so long :o)
