Photoshop Favorites
[10:06 pm]
Wow, how did I overlook "Photoshop Favorites"? This little thing can be very useful when opening files in Photoshop. Simply navigate to your favorite folder, click on the folder icon (picture bellow) and select "Add Favorite". The folder you navigated to, will be saved in your favorite button's menu. Real time saver!

You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the US of arrogance and Germany doesn't want to go to war.

Redesign of the W3C homepage
[09:49 am]
Wthremix is a design challenge for coders, and a coding challenge for designers. Here's the idea: create a redesign of the W3C homepage. Design an intuitive layout and navigation, organize the content with the user in mind, and create an aesthetic which reflects the importance and influence of the institution. It is too late to jump in, the awards will be announced on March 17th, but it is never too late to take a look at interesting entries.

Arghhh this spam
[04:16 pm]
I just received a spam email. They offer me a professional website for a limited budget. Well, I don't know why they chose me, particularly because I do the same thing for a living, (and often for limited budget).
Here are some of the package features they offer:
- A scrolling java window to display news articles or related information.
- Free submission of the web site to the top 40 search engines to ensure search capabilities.
- Current "Date" displayed along with custom "Drop Down" navigation menu.
- Custom rollover images for navigation.
Which one do you like the best? I think "current date combined with the custom drop down navigation" feature is pretty amazing.

Sizer
[11:05 am]
Sizer is a useful tool I downloaded a few years ago, kept on my hard drive, and forgot where I found it originally. Now I see it improved. I love these little applications that make your everyday easier.
Sizer is a freeware utility that allows you to resize any window to an exact, predefined size. This is extremely useful when designing web pages, as it allows you to see how the page will look when viewed at a smaller size. The utility is also handy when compiling screen-shots for documentation, using Sizer allows you to easily maintain the same window size across screen grabs.

Google Content-Targeted Advertising
[03:38 pm]
Google Content-Targeted Advertising is surely an excellent idea from the business perspective, but it scares me a bit. Will sites that serve Google content-targeted ads get higher ranking? Search Engine Watch provides us with a very good article about this.
