[07:07 am]

Enjoy!

I am sitting in a cafe called "Au Cadet de Gascogne", which is located in the heart of Montmartre. They have a free access to the Internet, but drinks are very expensive, he he . . .

O LA LA
[04:51 pm]

We are in Paris!! I survived the plane and the flight was smoother than I thought. This is our first day in Paris. We already visited many interesting places. As soon as I get my laptop connected, I'll post pictures. At the moment we are in an Internet Cafe and I have troubles typing using a French keyboard.

Table Based vs. CSS Based Design
[05:58 pm]

An Objective Look at Table Based vs. CSS Based Design Web standards and CSS based design are defiantly the way forward. However in our rush to advocate these "new" techniques, we may end up believing our own hyperbole. Build something up enough and the reality will always fall short of our expectations. By taking a dogmatic approach we risk alienating the very people we are trying to convince.

A very interesting article and readers' comments.

Google PageRank
[09:34 pm]

The Google PageRank Value Report will return the Google PageRank values for the list of urls you enter. It is also possible to create a bookmarklet using this service. Since I switched to Mozilla Firefox, the only thing I miss frequently is the PageRank value displayed in Google Toolbar, but not in Googlebar.

Pacmanhattan
[05:59 pm]

Those crazy NYU students. Pac-Manhattan is a large-scale urban game that utilizes the New York City grid to recreate the 1980's video game sensation Pac-Man. This analog version of Pac-man is being developed in NYU's Interactive Telecommunications graduate program, in order to explore what happens when games are removed from their "little world" of tabletops, televisions and computers and placed in the larger "real world" of street corners, and cities.

Oh, my aching back!
[06:45 pm]

I had it coming. Sitting in an awkward position for a long time cannot be a good thing for my back. I am plagued by an aching back at least once in a year, which is the way my body reminds me to get out and have some exercise. This time I cannot even brush my teeth, . . . without looking like a yogi. I must admit, I look very ridiculous while trying to tie my shoes or put my pants on, mostly because I quickly developed rather strange techniques to accomplish these "simple" tasks. The worst part is sneezing! The pain will go away, I know that, but will I change my habits? In my search for remedies, I stumbled across a great link, BBC's The Back Pain Guide.

Referral
[04:35 pm]

As it looks like, lots of people are coming from elitesecurity forum, from a Zoka's post where there is a link to sashaDesign.com. That was an old news about alneda.com being hacked. Internet security is one of the topics I occasionally talk about here, but I removed that post simply because I have enough of wars and tragedies. I guess, people are looking for al-Qaeda website and a scary beheading video, which has been all over the news the last two days.

Young At Heart
[10:34 am]

93-year-old Fauja Singh running a marathon race in five hours and forty minutes!? Singh broke the marathon time record for his age group at last year's Toronto Waterfront race. Huh, I am just over thirty, but this guy seems to be in much better shape than me. It's time to get my bike ready.

Sasser
[11:11 pm]

I am now getting many hits from Yahoo users searching for "sasa worm". Obviously, they misspelled the word "Sasser". Sasser Worm began its global journey in Europe last Friday and is particularly dangerous because it doesn't require users to interact in order to activate it. Sasser takes advantage of a flaw with the Windows operating system. Time to patch your Windows!
