Computer use and glaucoma
[11:36 pm]

I stopped reading news a while ago, but I still use Yahoo as my homepage so that I always glimpse headlines whenever I start my browser. I rarely follow the links, but this news item caught my attention.

Heavy computer use linked to glaucoma Heavy users of computers, especially those who are short-sighted, may be at risk from glaucoma, a disease that can cause blindness, a study published in a specialist journal on Tuesday says.

The article is rather scary considering the fact that I belong to the category of "heavy computer users" and "short-sighted".

g00gl3
[09:54 am]

Heh, just got a referral from g00gl3.de!. Pretty cool, eh? Of course, I had to try g00gl3.com as well, and must say that it looks kind of cute and original too. However, while g00gl3.de provides a pretty good service actually, g00gl3.com just links to some french site.

Creating an mySQL Wrapper Class Anyone who has used mySQL for their RDBMS (Relational Database Management System) will be aware how much mySQL quickly becomes a vital part of any web application. Unfortunately most of you will also know how much repetitive PHP code mySQL requires.

I always wanted to do something like this and it will definitely find its place in my upcoming projects.

* {padding:0; margin:0;}
[10:57 am]

Resetting default padding and margin At first glance it may seem the global reset method requires you to subsequently style the margins and padding of each HTML element that you intend to use. resulting in verbose and wasteful code. However you can zero margins and padding in the one rule set and then set all block level items with margins in a second rule set, resulting in identical rendering across all browsers.

Trick or Treat!
[11:10 pm]

Halloween night is over and all the spooks are gone. Among all the crazy and wild costumes and dresses, Yo-yo's was the best. She was the main attraction and collected most of the treats.
