It's baby time
[10:38 am]

New Year's Eve is traditionally a time of looking back at the previous year's accomplishments and our big accomplishment is on its way. To be more precise the due date is Friday, April 01, 2005, although, it is up to the nature to decide. We don't know yet if it is a baby boy or baby girl, and to be honest it doesn't really matter.
If everything goes well:
- our baby's astrological sign will be aries
- our baby will be born in the chinese year of the rooster
- our baby will start kindergarten in 2010
- he/she will be old enough to drive a car in 2021
- he/she will finish high school in 2023
- he/she will graduate from college with the class of 2027
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

ForecastFox
[02:11 pm]
This is a very nifty extension for Firefox. ForecastFox - Firefox Extension lets you get international weather forecasts from weather.com, and display it in any toolbar or statusbar. [via Kurcula.com]

CSS and columns
[10:29 am]
Creating Liquid Faux Columns One of the most frequent layout issues that new CSS developers want to tackle is equal height columns. In table-based designs, this is easy because each cell in a row is tied together. The height of one affects the height of the others. However, in CSS-based designs, each div is an independent element and is only as tall as its content needs it to be.

Web design in 2005
[11:54 am]
How will web design in 2005 be? Forty Media tried to find an answer to that question. Overall, 2005 is shaping up to be a great year for web design. This is good news both for designers (who will get to flex their muscles a bit more than usual) and for their clients (who will benefit from the many technological improvements)
I really don't want Arial to replace Verdana, because Arial sucks.

First look at Firefox-based Netscape
[05:00 pm]

I have never seen a reason to use Netscape as opposed to Mozilla or Firefox, but I still find it interesting to take a peak at the Netscape version to come. Mozillazine provides us with a detailed look at the new Firefox based Netscape.

Multiple Browsers Window Injection Vulnerability
[10:11 pm]
Secunia Research has reported a vulnerability, which affects most browsers. The vulnerability can be exploited by a malicious web site to "hi-jack" a named browser window, regardless of which web site is the true "owner" of the window.
It is good to be aware of this interesting trick.

FAQ on my Development Infrastructure for PHP
[03:47 pm]
Tony Marston has produced a large document that explains how he goes about structuring the code for his complex PHP web applications. Lots of stuff to learn from it.
