Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
[01:51 pm]

I would like to wish all my readers a safe and happy holiday season.

I have a whole list of resolutions for the next year. One of these resolutions is to redesign this website and add some new features. It's about time, isn't it?

All the best!

Our perception of beauty
[04:03 pm]

Dove Unilever's excellent video, which I have never seen before. I really enjoyed it. A portion of the video shows some work done in that photo editing program web designers love so much.

CSS management strategies
[09:28 am]

An interesting article that describes some basic long-term CSS management strategies, a must read for every web designer.

Templating Solutions with CSS: Style Organization Designed To Last So you figured out how to build CSS-based layouts. And then you watched your CSS files grow and evolve over the lifecycle of your site. But the cruft is really starting to add up, and making simple changes is more difficult than it should be. Going into that CSS file feels a little like playing the game Jenga: You might get lucky and manage to grab one of the bottom blocks without toppling the tower, but there's always a chance that your next move will bring the whole thing crashing down.

Rogers cap
[02:17 am]

A few days ago I ranted about my ISP, Rogers Cable, and its practice to throttle Bit Torrent users. There is another thing I hate about this company. In March last year, Rogers imposed 60 GB cap for combined upload and download. The worst part, it claims 60 GB cap is very generous. I saw an article on this topic at Globe and Mail and I'd like to point out to an excellent comment made by Globe and Mail reader. It starts with "As one of the people affected by Rogers' new bit cap, I have a few points that I have brought up to Rogers."

I am seriously considering switching to Sympatico.

Funny spammers
[01:55 am]

When was the last time you laughed about a spam message your received? I am glad my spam filter didn't catch this one (strikethroughs by me).

Funny spammers

Not that I need any of this stuff, but maybe, if spammers were more humorous, we would read their messages more. Just a thought.
