Facebook idea stolen?
[08:29 am]
I must admit, I discovered Facebook just recently, and what the heck, created my profile too. I can imagine that they'll do all kinds of good or bad things with my data stored in their databases, but still, it is a cool project. However, while drinking my first morning coffee I stumbled across an article in The Star, Did Facebook chief steal the idea?, which will definitely raise a few eyebrows among Facebook users. A judge in Boston is expected to decide this week whether to proceed with a lawsuit that claims the founder of the wildly popular Facebook online social networking site stole the idea from three former fellow students at Harvard University.
The three want U.S. District Court Judge Douglas Woodlock to shut down Facebook and give them control of the website along with profits from it.
At stake is ownership of a hot property estimated to attract more than 150,000 new members a day, expected to earn $125 million (all figures U.S.) in ad revenue this year, and worth more than $1 billion.

The Semantic Web
[05:02 pm]
The future of the Web as seen by its creator
Tim Berners-Lee says The Semantic Web is the Internet of the future. It sounds like a very interesting concept. I personally always like to hear what the inventor of the World Wide Web has to say, especially when it comes to the future of this great medium.
