The future of the Web as seen by its creator
Tim Berners-Lee says The Semantic Web is the Internet of the future. It sounds like a very interesting concept. I personally always like to hear what the inventor of the World Wide Web has to say, especially when it comes to the future of this great medium.

Once upon a time, 2004, with my friends I have started project http://www.vast.com/ and now it's one of the biggest organized databases of classifieds on the Internet.
We did not "wait for others" to implement standards, put microformats, use XML or anything like that. We scraped data from anything, with or without structure and finally made our answer to "Semantic Web".
"When people can understand something our code should be able to do the same" - and we did it at least at some verticals.
