Lately » Getting around "right-click disabled"
You would like to view the source code but instead of the code you get an annoying alert that says: "Sorry right-click is disabled" or "Copyright Bla Bla Bla". The easiest workaround for IE Win users I have seen so far:
- right-click on the page, and continue holding down the right mouse button
- left-click on the OK dialogue
- release the right mouse button

or even easier :)
Go to the show menu and click on source.

Ok but what if the page is in the frame, heh? ;-)
Or you know, you just want you menu…

Someone who is proud of his/her code probably wouldn't put that silly piece of JS in the page.
There is a button on some keyboards, next to right-ctrl, that gives you a right-click menu.

Ok, you got me with the frames.
I just wouldn't look at the source of a framed site anyway. Frames suck.
Svarog - agreed. Anybody that puts that JS snippet in their code is just really annoying.

Does anyone know how to quickly re-construct html code that has been converted to character code, example:
%3C>#//dwlavkml%22jr]lg*+ypgvwpl%22vpwg%
Its a good tool for hiding email addresses from email spiders, ( just replace the "@" in the address with "@" etc. )but when you want to see how someone has written a particular page, it's a bit naughty!

Some scripts now prevent the above tips working.
Turning off Microsoft VM Java (in Internet Explorer, options, advanced) will prevent these scripts running, but may affect the look of the page.

If you only need to save a picture:
Press control+PrntScrn and go to paint and paste. Then you can crop and resave as a jpg or whatever type file you want.

In Firefox 3, if you go into Tools/Options/Content tab, click on "Advanced" next to Javascript, and uncheck "Disable or Replace Context Menus". All done.
