Steve McCurry: Unveiling the Face of War I couldn't resist to buy National Geographic's 100 best pictures edition. The cover is Steve McCurry's famous photo of a 12-year-old Afghan girl. The portrait first appeared on National Geographic's cover in June 1985. McCurry didn't speak the local language, Pashtun, and he didn't get his cover girl's name. But he did learn that she came from the Kunduz region of northern Afghanistan. His efforts to locate her during 10 subsequent visits have come to naught. He doesn't even know if she's still alive.

She has one of the prettiest eyes i've ever seen..

And now for something completely different:

Q - How are Michael Jackson and Sears similar?

A - They both have little boy's pants half off.

I found out about the girl...apparently they found her and got another picture, the only two pictures that have ever been taken of her. She's not as striking now, but the eyes are definitely the same. The strenth is gone.

Is a preaty picture and she was found her name is Sharbat Gula, but remenber that she has lived in a refuge camp for 15 years because of the war in her country that sad, but at least her husband gave permision so she can have her picture taken we thanks her husband for being understanding
