Marjan the lion, who was injured several years ago when a man attacked him, is shown at the zoo in Kabul, Afghanistan, Nov. 19, 2001. North American zoos and aquariums began a campaign this week to raise $30,000 to keep the Kabul zoo running for the next four to six months.
This little story made me sad today.

Today being aug 5/04 i witnessed this unbeliveable sad story on national geographic. I couldnt believe my eyes when i seen this absolutely pathetic creature. I cant believe how horrible the world has become. No one seems to care that this innoccent and beautiful creature lived life as a prisoner life sentence, all because of man. And to punish him for a natural response to his environment is ignorant on mans part. Marjan was truly an icon of what man is creating and treating our precious world and animals.
my heart cries out to all animals that are in a cruel eniviroment because of man.
I only wish i had money to make this world a better place, because love, unfortunately isnt enough and that is the sadiest of all.
I thank God for all of our precious creatures and pray for strengh and love to all of those suffering because of the ignorance of man his actions.
