Nothing, I don't like ads either (hate 'em).. but svastara.com got more than 25 thousand page views last month (500 MB transfer)..
I will need to pay for hosting soon :o)

The battlefields server but all their servers has heavy ads baners and popups. They have 5 levels of adds elimination, if you subscribe to swirve e-mail they eliminate some adds, next you have to write a poem at poetry.com next step is to donate money to red cross or something like that, another level is to submit some of your "artistic" pictures (with your copyrights) and premium will be to pay recket to swirve com like to slashdot. The best thing is it is not posible to view their pages if you are using some probrams that eliminate adds... I do not know how they detect it but... it does not work with adds eliminator programs.
