Hey Sasha!
You seem like a really neat person and I really like your work.
I have quite a strange question for you. My husband and I are expecting our first baby and we really love the name Sasha. We have gotten criticism from our friends that it is a good name only for a girl and that if we name our son that he will be picked on by others. So I was wondering what you thought. Did you wish you had a different name, something more "manly" or do you love your name as much as we do? Any input would be appreciated. Ragini

Don't start making jokes about my name now, these nice people could change their mind.

By the way, you should see the paragraph above inside the quotation marks, otherwise you are not using a modern browser :-)

See it in italics but not quotations. Is IE 5.5 not modern? ;-)

P.S. I used to have a girlfriend called Sasha.....

Try Alex, Alexander, Alexandar, Saky, Sale, Sasha, btw. I think that Sasha is a Russian boy/girl name...

Even Lynx displays quotes. Unbelievable!

Mozilla 1.0 rocks!

On the name question, I think some(many?) people in the English-speaking world would regard it as feminine if it's pronounced "Sasha". On the reverse side, I remember a (woman) friend of mine called Nicola (New Zealand) saying she got no end of grief over the name in Europe.

So I guess it depends where you are, and if you follow "conventions".

All the best with your baby,

cheers,

Maxwell

Hi my name is Alejandro 'cause i'm Spanish but i was baptized when i was living in USA as Sasha and i think it's a cool name, sounds sexy and maybe is even a bit fun seeing people get confused when you send them emails. ;)
Now living in Spain again most of my friends call me Alex.
