Lately » IIS 5 vulnerability, SELFHTML and Brainrub

IIS 5 vulnerability discovered! Unchecked Buffer in ISAPI Extension Could Enable Compromise of IIS 5.0 Server. Microsoft strongly urges all IIS 5.0 server administrators to install the patch immediately.

Funny thing, in the "Technical details" section it says: "Such code would run in the Local System security context. This would give the attacker complete control of the server, and would enable her to take virtually any action she chose." I knew that only women would do such things! :-)

Heh, it is amazing how the log files can become large with this CSS skinning thing :-)

SELFHTML (German language) is on the road again. I am really happy to see it breathing again. Despite the fact that I had been a passive viewer most of the time in the past, I really missed it a lot. I am surely not the only one. I've just posted the first message! I am privileged somehow, it is 6.30 in Germany right now, most forum users are still sleeping. Good luck SELFHTML!

Apparently the board is built using XML technology. I also want to be able to tweak XML code! A good starting point for all of you who have the same goal.

My friend, fellow coworker and a smart guy Adam with a few more smart people has recently launched brainrub. Brainrub follows a simple goal: to help you discover some great sites, useful features and neat stuff. They say: "Think of us like the magazine aisle at the grocery store - you come, you browse, you find things of interest, you smile."
