How to block spambots, ban spybots, and tell unwanted robots to go to hell.
Link title says it all. Quite a few spambots and spybots eat my bandwidth on a regular basis. Time to stop them.
Pancake physics to cut batter splatter
The angular velocity of the object equals the square root of Pi, times the gravity divided by the distance the pancake is from the elbow times four - that is how to get the pancake back in the pan.

People that copy whole website so they have a copy piss me off.

I had a few of them last week. Program used, HTTrack, http://www.httrack.com
It pisses me off too, particularly because it produces thousands of database calls. But then again, some people pay for their surfing time, and want to view the site offline, . . . I'll think about this after I review my logs a bit closer.

Yeah, that might be true but some of them still spend hours downloading the whole site. It might be easier connecting, getting what you need and disconnecting. Or emailing me to send 'em zipped site instead of downloading thousand of useless pages (user comments for example).
Anyways, link you posted has a way to ban most offline downloaders, I'll try it later.

I just discovered a robot called Googlebot. Should I put it on my ban list?
Dear Googlebot,
If you are visiting this page, and I know you will, please note that this was a joke, don't take it too personal.
