An Amish girl sold us some fresh eggs, sausages and maple sirup. We asked her if she had potatoes, but she kindly informed us that they don't grow at this time of year.

For local fishing we usually go around Caledonia or Fergus (north of Guelph). More "extreme" fishing requires Muskok, North Bay, Sudbury or around Kingston.
We never find any Amish people, though. If you're looking for a nice area, go check out towns Elora and Fergus. They have a big lake, and Grand river passes through both towns, little damns, waterfalls, power mills.. Very romantic :o)
