Lately » browsercheck.exe

Today, I had more then 300 Google referrals from people searching for "browsercheck.exe"?! I reported about Heise Security's browsercheck.exe a while ago, but this seems to be something different. IRC worm or something?

Saw this on IRC: "[10.04.53] -new-virus- WARNING: There is a new worm spreading around. If you see a message with a URL that looks like: 'http://www.kromberg.at/<censored>=drunkchicks.jpg LOL' do NOT visit that link. If you have visited it already you have gotten infected, and you are advised to remove c:\browsercheck.exe"

Maybe someone has modified the code of browsercheck.exe to do something malicious... or maybe someone doesn't understand what the original browsercheck.exe is and is freaking. Either answer is plausible...
