Kefir grains are those cute little creatures who give me a daily portion of the real Kefir. All they need is lots of milk and, just like any other pet, a bit of care.

No, if you want kefir, you need kefir grains (and milk of course), everything else is not real kefir.
What are tea grains? Kombucha maybe?

Kefir grains can be sent without problems, as far as I know. Don't worry, there must be somebody here who has Kombucha, Sarajevo is too far away from here.
Kefir grains can be dried, handy if you want to send them to somebody, but I am not sure about Kombucha?

If you can do it I will be more than happy. Unfortunately here I cannot find people who have the Kefir grains. We will be missioners in spreading Kefir around Balkan Peninsula.
I have found something about Kambocha that it can be saved in refrigerator but I am not sure about drying. I have to search at Google a little bit more.

Just reading the posts on Kefir grains and wondering how many of you are growing and drinking it. I just started afew weeks ago, blending it with frozen fruit. A wonderful drink.
