Lately » Referral Spam

I decided to filter them using a simple PHP script, instead of blocking them via .htaccess file. Let's see how it works, not that I pretend to win this neverending battle.

I spam the old-fashioned way, in your comments. ;)
What are your blocking criteria in .htaccess? Referrals from known bad domains? Did you get a list somewhere?
