Lately » Baby cockatiels grow up fast
Some of you may wonder how our little baby bird is doing. Well, it is not baby anymore and it is doing pretty good, I would say.

Whoa, nice to see that ugly thing turning into a beatufil bird. Teach him HTML :o)

No, I already started with chess. HTML would be too much for the little brain. One thing at the time ;-)

Your birds are quite beautiful (I just went through the whole gallery.) The female has a particularily interesting feather patern that I've never seen before, it's quite pretty. Kinda makes it look more like a hawk of some sort (aside from obvious size differences ;-)

Yes, the female is the first bird we had. It is a rare, handfed, whiteface pearl cockatiel. She was a birthday present for Sofia. We never really intended to buy another bird, but we ended up adopting the male, and the rest is history ;-)

Your baby is turning out beautiful! S/he still looks like a young bird, though, with the tiny crest. It'll be interesting to see after the first moult if it's a boy or a girl. I bet s/he is already spoiled rotten, though. ;)
