Lately » An interview with Sam
As long as people purchase Viagra, require porn, or gamble online, there will be spammers. Interview with a link spammer is an interesting reading that gives a good insight into the mind of those who prefer to call themselves "search engine optimizers".

it is so easy to make bots to exploit all the most popular forum scripts, blogs, newsgroups, etc.
First generation of tools was like perl scripts that did posting now you can find software systems that do it autmatically, programmed alot of "artificial inteligence", even ocr algorithms for pictures etc.
In the moment Java, Delphi and Python are the most widespead programming languages in that bussines.
The other way of spaming is refferer spam. Sasha did good job to prevent it at his refs page.
now we have to face with the problem of abuse and find inteligent solution but next day spamers will have more sophisticated softwares and continule their bussiness untill somebody paies for that.

:: Sasha, at 11:13 pm on Wednesday, 02. February 2005
