If you want to show just one layer and hide all others, ALT-click on the visibility icon of the desired layer.
Right-click on an image window's title bar to quickly access features like Canvas Size, Image Size and Duplicate.
Press the Tab key to hide the toolbar and all palettes. Press Shift+Tab to hide only the palettes (and leave the toolbar visible).
Instead of going to View » Actual Pixels, just double click on the Zoom Tool on the tool bar. To fit the image on the screen, double click the Hand Tool.
If you work with close zooming, save your time by creating a second view (View » New View). Zoom in one of your views and leave the second at 100%. What you do on the zoomed window will be shown on the 100% window in actual form.
Access the Zoom tool at any time by pressing Ctrl+Space to zoom in, and Alt+Space to zoom out.
You can access the Hand tool at any time by holding the Space Bar.
Press "F" to cycle between three different Full Screen modes (or use the buttons near the bottom of the Toolbar). Press Shift+F to toggle the menus in Full Screen Mode.
Define a background color easily by holding down the Alt key when selecting a color with the Eyedropper tool.
Switch between opened documents by pressing Control-Tab.
